First steps

Before you can transfer pictures with WIA-Loader, you have to create at least one import profile.
The easiest way to do this is with the profile wizard:

The wizard guides you through a few simple steps to create an import profile.
Afterwards, you can refine or extend this profile further.

Once you have created an import profile, you can start transferring pictures right away:

Connect your camera and select it in the 'Sources' menu
Choose an import profile
Press the import button

WIA-Loader now uses the selected profile to transfer the pictures from the camera or the flash card to your computer. Optionally, the pictures can already be deleted from the camera or the card during this process. To do so, just check 'Delete pictures from camera' before starting the import. You should only use this option if you are really sure that the pictures will actually arrive where you want them to.

Further steps

The profile editor lets you refine or extend your profile even further. To use all features, a number of additional settings are required.
